Santeri lives in Tampere and works for his company called TeacherGaming LLC. His main project for the latest year has been MinecraftEdu that has a tremendous impact on how we teach around the World with games. Nowadays TG also works around KerbalEdu. In the meantime he has finished his Master’s in education (degree programme for classroom teachers in Finland) and written a paper about using MinecraftEdu in math.

His background includes teaching, education consultancy, idealism and hands on approach to everything he finds important. And of course, lots of gaming.

The next year will be times two busy as he is taking his personal endeavor towards getting 1st and 2nd graders to learn programming with a university network formed around TeacherGaming.

Flipped classroom as a business model – what we learned from MinecraftEdu
Five years ago TeacherGaming started building MinecraftEdu. 15,000 school joined and Microsoft ended up acquiring the IP this spring. Now it’s time to look back to what we learned from one of the most disruptive Game Based Learning projects so far and what should we do next.
