Jarne is an engineer with an instinct to do matchmaking to connect the right people with the right products/solutions to implement the company strategies. As operational generalist in the cloud space he is to help building mode-2 IT operations together with a bunch of DevOps enthusiasts.

Prior to this position Jarne worked as an Innovation Advisor to build ecosystem where Ericsson, academia and other industry players are connected. Through Business Lab Innovation System, Suomi, an established link to innovation, entrepreneurship and applied research, he pairs his team with talented students and regional start-ups and SMEs to validate, develop, and commercialize M2M technologies.

Before that he worked as the head of solution team for Ericsson Innovation Russia.
In 2004, he joined Ericsson Eurolab in Aachen, as head of Strategic Product Management for Ericsson’s Mobile Switching center product solutions.

Upon graduation from University of applied sciences in Kotka in 1983, Jarne made his military service for one year. After that he joined Oy LM ERICSSON Ab in Finland and began his career as SW designer/tester. Here he joined the first mobile systems project developing the first NMT900 system to Scandinavian countries. This project paved the way to Ericsson’s success in mobile systems.
In addition to his work, Jarne is heavily involved with all different kinds of sports; now lately in junior football and basketball with his younger son. He is a supporter of local community work.

Empowering the Developers
In this talk I will share with you our initiative to run an internal startup type of an activity in a big corporate. With this I will explain what obstacles we have seen and how have we addressed those. This will then lead to the interesting topic of company ecosystems where we in the future would like to create solutions like in IoT together with customers and partners.
