Artificial Intelligence, User Interfaces, and Happiness
New advances in Artificial Intelligence have the potential of changing the way we interact with computers and in particular with internet services. The new interfaces will combine innovations in speech recognition, natural language understanding and information integration. In this talk I will discuss the potential of these new technologies and the challenges we still face. I will also explore in more detail the question of whether such interfaces can be designed to increase user’s happiness, leveraging insights from the Science of Happiness in psychology.
