NDBS IoT & Digitalization is part of the Nordic Digital Business Summit 2016

Hungry. For. Business.

It’s as simple as that. We know that there is a real need to create rock solid business opportunities. There is no shortage of startups looking to make it big, there are many SME´s looking to take the next step and there is an abundance of larger players who are exploring agile methods to source and develop new technical innovations.
We invited friends who are not only representing global brands, but represent solid business propositions and possess a willingness to jump on the stage and tell us here in the Nordics HOW they want to engage and create REAL business opportunities.
Bring your best pitch, bring your creative mind and get ready to make business for the future.

Engage. Sell. How?

Networking is part of the event. Besides that we will have an opportunity to pre-book meetings with participants.
On the afternoon of NDBS, we will have three corporates/organizations doing Reverse Pitching.
Who will be in the audience: Google, Nokia, Panasonic, companies in the Japanese Innovation Network, insurance and engineering companies, and our corporate partners & speakers.

Back to the Future

Our presenters will share about existing innovations and how they see the future in space, industrial products, wearables, using gaming, AI, human-computer interaction and other technologies

Sponsored by Helsingin kahvipaahtimo & Spring Service

  • 9:00 - Welcome

    Bob van Luijt, CEO, Kubrickology

  • 9:05 - Astronauts and IoT, Toward True Human-Autonomy Teaming

Dr. Alonso Vera, Division Chief of the Human Systems Integration Division, NASA Ames Research Center, CA

Among both experts and novices witnessing the rapid development of intelligent systems over the past decade, there are two quite distinct views of the new future. In one view, intelligent systems will quickly surpass human performance and humans will be replaced by machines across a range of activities from driving to management of complex systems like air space operations. In the other view, machine intelligence will continue to evolve but in ways that are orthogonal and possibly complementary to human cognition but it will not surpass human cognition in a broad sense such that overall performance of complex systems will still require human participation.

  • 9:50 - Hyperconnected Society

Johannes Koponen, Head of Foresight, Demos Helsinki

  • 10:10 - Bird's Eye View on Google and IoT

    Bob van Luijt, CEO, Kubrickology

In this talk, I want to share my thoughts on why I think that Weave might be the solution to this major question everybody in the business of ubiquitous faces. I want to show how it works, why it works and how Google seems to follow their own model of supporting a platform so well, that people want to sign up for their free cloud based solution and share their data without introducing any proprietary obstacles
